Something or someone may be working on your last nerve this week. It may be a child, yours or someone else’s, but it could also be a new project, job, or relationship. Hell, YOU may even be the brat in this scenario, and not in a fun way!
Because Mercury is in lemonade, electronics may be acting up. Give yourself more time than usual, drive carefully, and double-check any important documents, work, and conversations before sending them out.
If the brat in this situation is a child:
Be extra patient, but don’t give in to their tantrums. Stand firm in your boundaries, but see if you can come up with some activities to help minimize the struggle before it even begins. Please don’t be afraid to ask for help either!
If the source of your frustration is a new project or job:
You are being asked to remember that there is a learning curve that comes with anything new. Be patient with yourself and ask questions, even if you think they’re stupid (they’re not), or if the person you need to ask seems to be impatient. Though if it’s the latter, you may be able to ask someone else. Make sure you take notes, even on the stuff you think you will remember.
If you’re doing this thing on your own, give yourself limits to avoid rabbit holes and/or procrastination. Write down any questions you might have and things you want to explore more, so you can come back to them after you’ve finished your current task.
Remember, too, that you’re playing the long game - late nights and hyperfocus will give you a big fat cup of burnout. I know that’s easier said than done, but that’s why you’ve got to be intentional about it.
If this is a new relationship:
You may be dealing with some old shadows, so be patient with yourself and your partner. Take space if needed, and make sure you’re not so intertwined that other important things in your life slide into neglect. The whole burnout scenario is a strong possibility as well, so take care of yourself and retain important boundaries.
If YOU are the brat:
Take as much alone time as you can. You know when you’re extra irritable or feeling like you want to push someone’s buttons. There may be some reflection needed here, so this is a great time to journal about what’s going on. Sometimes it’s cycles or frustration with something external, but sometimes it’s just an off day. Do something nice for yourself and/or your loved ones or even coworkers to help lift the mood.
However this energy shows up in your life, be patient, be early, and be mindful. Nothing bad is happening - just a little more irritability and frustration. Do what you can to counteract this energy by bringing a little fun into your day!
