Today’s Message From the Universe advises you to work smart, not hard!

Of course, there is always hard work that is needed from time to time, but we have a tendency to make things harder on ourselves than necessary.

We overthink and muddle up what might almost have been clear. We power through things that might do much better with a gentle touch and a little flow. The worst part is, we don’t always know when we’re doing this!

Even physical labor can be done in ways that are more or less harmful to our bodies or generally more efficient. Yes, it’s hard work, but is there a way to make it a little less hard on you?

Let’s look at the cards for a moment. The Owl doesn’t have superior night-vision; she uses her ears to locate her prey. And that Salmon? She’s not fighting the current as is often thought; she utilizes the undercurrent to help move her upstream to lay her eggs.

There’s a message here about being resourceful and thinking outside the box. Stop banging your head against the wall, take a few steps back, and just look at it for a bit. Maybe you can go around it, or maybe there’s a weak spot somewhere. Maybe your neighbor has a ladder! Whatever your solution may be, it’s a creative one that will not be solved by brute force.

It’s also possible that stepping away from it altogether may be helpful as well. You’re not giving up, just giving yourself a break. Make it a good quality break so you come back feeling refreshed. I bet things will look a lot easier to you when you return!
