I had such a lovely week last week and I hope you did too! I was looking for a quote to kick off today’s newsletter and I bounced around a bit before finding this:

I feel like I have embodied this energy for some time now, it’s always easier when you can zoom out. We don’t always get to choose who we share space with and sometimes it is a choice, but a complicated one.
It takes a lot of work to keep your vibe high when you are in such close proximity to more difficult energies! There are plenty of days when your vibe takes a nosedive, whether you’re surrounded by other low vibes or not. I feel like just knowing that is helpful; nobody is at their best all the time!
The important part is that you give yourself some grace during these times, build a toolbox of things that make you feel better, and use them!
Because I am in such close proximity to many others, one of my most well-worn tools is music. I put my headphones on, crank up the volume, and allow the music to pulse through me. It’s quite rare for music to not lift me up but I have other tools I’ve collected over the years. I use them liberally and add to my toolbox as often as possible!
What’s in your toolbox? When was the last time you intentionally sought out new tools to fill it with?
What I’m Doing
I’m currently listening to the thunder and hoping it turns into a good storm. I so love thunderstorms!!
I’ve been a little too busy for my liking this past month so I’m working on getting ahead on my writing and other workish stuff, making sure not to overdo it at the same time.
Reading
I’ve been listening to the Dark Tower series by Stephen King for the thousandth time, it’s like hanging out with an old friend! I’m currently at the beginning of book 4, “Wizard and Glass,” my favorite! It’s like a fantasy western with King’s magical touch, you can’t help but to fall in love with his characters!

Watching
I made it all the way to the last season of “Game of Thrones.” I watched every episode when they first aired and started rewatching a few times but never made it past the first couple of seasons on a rewatch until now. It’s just as awesome, if not even better than my first ride through!
I've also started “Lisey’s Story” on Apple TV since I’ve got a 3-month free trial. That’s a series based on Stephen King’s book. It’s too early for me to tell how good it is just yet and I read the book years ago so I can’t remember how closely the series is following the book.
