What is Failure Anyway?

Helloooo beautiful souls!

I shared a Message from the Universe a few days ago titled “Failure is NOT an Option” (linked below) and I feel that there is a little more to be said on this matter.

First, I would like to say that all these messages address the collective energies. You may strongly resonate with one message while the next seems to apply to a much lesser degree. It is always wise to reflect on your own thoughts and situation to see how or if each message applies to you. The same goes for any advice you may receive throughout your life.

Here’s the quote that sums up Friday’s message:

“You may have a fresh start at any moment you choose, for this thing we call ‘failure’ is not the falling down, but the staying down.” -Unknown

Refusing to stay down doesn't mean you have to get back up on the same horse that threw you off. You might need a horse that you connect with a little better or you might need to just give that connection a little more time to develop. Maybe you would prefer to ride a dragon instead! Any way you shake it, you’re still getting back up.

The horse is not a specific job or person, it’s your commitment to yourself. Committing to a path of living with intention and allowing your heart and intuition to guide you instead of the voices of the past or present that tell you what you should be. This includes your own voice that may think there is only one way to achieve what you want. Start by asking yourself why you want this thing and then ask yourself what other paths can make that “why” happen.

Quitting something that isn’t right for you is not a failure. Take that thing that makes you feel truly good and follow it, letting it develop naturally instead of trying to make it fit your expectations.

What I’ve Been Doing

I’m doing a little pre-winter decluttering and I’ve been crocheting a lot more since the summer heat has subsided a little. This is my current main work-in-progress:

There’s no pattern to share because I’m freehanding it but it’s basically repeating patterns of double crochet, single crochet, puff stitches, and cluster stitches.

I’ve been going back and forth with listening to The Wolves of Calla, the 5th book of Stephen King’s Dark Tower series, and The Talisman, a book written by both King and Peter Straub.

I’m also still reading Daughter of Fire by Sofia Robleda. It’s such a good book but I’m an incredibly slow reader these days! It’s historical fiction set in the aftermath of the Spanish invasion of South America.

If you’ve been following me since I started this newsletter, you might know that I started re-watching Game of Thrones (Max) from the beginning a few months back. Once I hit the final season, I stopped for a bit. This is the first time I’ve made it this far since the original releases and wanted to give it my full attention. Well, I finished the rest last night and it was just as awesome as it was the first time I watched!

Starz has a $3 per-month deal right now so I got caught up on The Serpent Queen, which is a series about Catherine de' Medici who was Queen of France from 1547 to 1559. I don’t know why but I just love these historical royal court dramas!

I still have Prime trials to give out, specifically a 6-month trial for students, details are under the “Free Stuff” heading :)
