We’ve all been there, haven’t we? That moment when everything you’ve ever known crumbles around you, leaving an emptiness louder than the storm that brought your tower down. It has the feeling of a blank page that mocks you and your comfort zone. That’s what we tarot readers call a tower moment.

The tower has a bad reputation because it represents enormous life changes that are usually sudden and unexpected. Change is hard, especially big change! But here’s the thing about the tower – it’s a clean slate! You stand among the ruins of outdated beliefs and all manner of things that no longer fit who you are becoming.

You are free to build a new tower that is better suited to you now, but you are also free to wander and seek new experiences, scope out a new place to build your life, and meet people whose journey is aligned with your own.

This tower moment may have happened recently, but that doesn’t have to be the case. It’s possible that you’ve been staring at the ruins in shock for some time, but it’s also possible that this tower moment is what we’re all experiencing right now as we try to make sense of a world that appears to be burning.

It makes no difference if we are talking about a personal or collective tower moment here – the advice is the same. Do not try to rebuild the same structure that imprisoned you! Any attempts at recreating a good feeling that you experienced in that tower are not advised because that feeling will come from an entirely different place in the future.

This is the time to allow yourself to dream and think about building something more aligned with who you (we) are becoming. It’s time for new ideas and learning to create the beauty and freedom that has long been a promise unfulfilled by the previous structure. This is the time to cultivate your community and nurture your tribe.

The old ways are dying, so don’t give them any more of your energy! Focus on exploration and building something beautiful. Be the change, create ripples, and love your neighbor 💙
